Rules To Obtain Images By A Spherical Mirror
- Incident rays parallel to the principal axis pass or appear to pass from focus after reflection.
- Incident rays which pass from focus after reflection becomes parallel to the principal axis.
- Incident rays which pass through the Center of Curvature of the spherical mirror after reflection retrace its path.
- Incident rays rays that are traveling obliquely to the principal axis are reflected obliquely after striking the pole of the spherical mirror.
Image Formation By A Concave Mirror
- Position of image- Image is formed at the principal focus of spherical mirror i.e At Focus.
- Size of the image- Image which is formed in the case is point sized i.e highly diminished
- Nature of Image- Image is real and we all know that every real image is inverted, i.e Image is Real and Inverted.
- Position of image- Image is formed between the Center of Curvature and the Focus of spherical mirror i.e Between C and F.
- Size of the image- The image which is formed in this case is smaller than the size of the object i.e Diminished
- Nature of Image- Image is real and we all know that every real image is inverted, i.e Image is Real and Inverted.
